Five card draw simply needs 5 cards to be dealt to the players, all with their faces down. Then either the game proceeds with the pre-placed antes or blind calls are made. Players can also choose to fold. This is not like the stud card games poker where the players do not have any option of improving their hands. In 5 card draw, the players have an option to draw 1 to 5 cards in exchange of the cards in their hands. So this actually gives the players a second chance.

After obtaining the final set of cards through drawing and replacing, the players who are still having hands and haven’t folded will continue the betting. This also involves the concept of bluffing where the players try to convince their opponents to fold by making them believe that they have a bigger hand. 5 card draw follows the same order of ranking as other card games poker. Eventually, as the betting ends, the player with the better hand wins the game of five card draw.
